The Em Kölsche Boor brewery can look back on a 244 year old tradition. It ranks amongst the oldest breweries in Cologne. Here you can retrace the history of the Cologne builders who made the city in the Middle Ages into the Free Imperial City and learn about the builders benches and the historical site Am Eigelstein which became well known because of the Gaffel brewery and is still the registered office of the Gaffel private brewery. Here you can enjoy typical specialities from Cologne: Himmel un Äd (apples and potatoes) Decke Bunne met Speck (green beans with bacon), sweet and sour kidneys, Rhineland marinated beef, a half meter long bratwurst - and of course freshly pulled Gaffel Kölsch, the local beer.
