A popular venue. The Goldener Hirsch is a cosy restaurant. It does not just appeal to people visiting the festival and who have worked up an appetite. Celebrities and tourists also enjoy the food. The chef Gernot Hicka serves his own innovative brand of authentic Austrian cuisine. The wine cellar boasts a selection of fine wine from around the world with Austrian wines taking pride of place. The vaulted basement is light and airy. The staff wear uniforms, are friendly and on the ball. The décor is rustic with dark wooden chairs, green and white tablecloths and oil paintings of hunting scenes on the walls.
