For genuine, locally-produced food, visit Fäviken Magasinet. Here, they follow the seasons and work in harmony with the community. The restaurant aims to be self-sufficient, with its own chickens as well as herb and vegetable gardens. The lodge produces Gammelost cheese, bakes bread the old-fashioned way and makes ice cream just like Grandma used to. Moose is the vital ingredient on the menu, with small game from Jämtland’s forests also featuring. In addition, Fäviken serves fish from nearby mountain lakes.
