Blau is a bastion for seasonal and local produce in calle Tenor Masini, Barcelona. Opened in 2001 in the Sants El Blau district, this charming restaurant offers traditional cuisine with innovative touches but without fuss. The lunchtime menu aims to offer a balanced, different, attractive and enjoyable meal at a reasonable price every day. The restaurant’s terrace, which has a glass roof, makes it one of the few restaurants in Barcelona to offer an evening under the stars all year round. The menu features dishes with oriental influences as well as poking fun at the Catalan political establishment and its three-way coalition with dishes such as tripartite of salads with fruit, or mini-cones with three artisan flavours. The restaurant also hosts live performances and art exhibitions.
