In one of the reconstructed Baroque town houses in Dresden’s Neumarkt, the Restaurant Augustiner an der Frauenkirche offers you a cosy and historic setting in which to dine. Apart from the Saxon potato soup (a local speciality), the menu mainly features a variety of Bavarian and Austrian delicacies, including Bavarian sausage salad, roast pork, Leberkäse (a type of meatloaf), apple strudel, Kaiserschmarrn (a sweet cup-cake pancake with raisins) and apricot dumplings. There is also an extensive wine list and 7 stunning varieties of Augustiner beer to choose from.
