The Brasserie in the centre of St Gallen is part of the Best Western Hotel Walhalla. The Walhalla has a choice two different restaurants. The other restaurant is an Italian primarily offering specialities from Tuscany - and Italian service. In the casual surroundings of the Brasserie, diners can enjoy fine local specialities such as East Swiss breast of chicken served with a creamy mushroom sauce and Rheintaler Chäsknöpfli (a type of cheese dumpling) as well as several types of beer by the glass. This so-called beer restaurant is open 365 days a year. It always cooks using high quality locally sourced natural ingredients. There are occasional live band appearances providing variety and entertainment.
