The Zur Burg is a bastion in the heart of Kaiserslautern. The restaurant has a rustic wooden feel with beautifully laid tables, pepper grinders that come in four different sizes and golden picture frames. There is a suit of armour and a sword near the bar - in keeping with the style of the place. The bar itself is designed to look like a barrel. The menu offers plenty of meat dishes but also caters for pasta fans. All the dishes are available in large portions. The Zur Burg also has a good selection of wine. The restaurant is a popular venue with tourists, regulars and the elderly. The staff are friendly and helpful. The restaurant also offers special schnitzel and steak evenings.
