Taste and elegance are the emblems of the Widder restaurant by Alexander Kroll, which has been awarded 15 points by the prestigious Gault Millau guide. Since May 2009, Alexander Kroll has made his mark as new head chef with his artistic style of cooking in Zürich’s historic quarter. Before this, he was tantalizing the taste buds of Schumi & Co. as head chef at Formula 1 in Monaco, but now he serves up his aromatic dishes in the elegant surroundings of the Widder hotel. The connection between tradition and modern contemporary cuisine is Kroll’s motto. His philosophy is to go back to basic roots of Swiss cooking, yet he refines this by mixing in influences from Mediterranean and Asian cuisine.
