Shanti is the new Indian restaurant in Barcelona’s Les Cortes neighbourhood that has been open since April 2008. The menu is full of the authentic flavours of Indian cuisine at affordable prices. Diners can sample the finest ingredients selected by the chef and enjoy the modern but romantic ambience, which radiates tranquillity. Shanti offers a unique experience with a menu featuring dishes such as Panir Rolls (rolls filled with grated fresh cheese, onion and pickled peppers with aromatic Indian spices), Hariyali Murga (roasted chicken with a mint sauce), Tandoori Chicken (slices of chicken marinated with cardamom, coriander and other spices and roasted in the Tandoor oven, served with a mint sauce) or Dal Shanti (black lentils or red beans with cream). Shanti has placed special emphasis on selecting the best wines to accompany Indian cuisine and the restaurant offers an extensive range from Penedes, Somontano, Navarre, Campo de Borja, Ribera de Duero, Toro, Montsat, Rioja, Mosel in Germany, the Languedoc in France, a low alcohol wine (0.5% vol) as well as wines from India, Cavas and Champagne. For beer lovers, there are well known brands from Europe and imported beers from India.
