This restaurant Italiano Kol & Kox is located in the former premises of a supplier of coal and coke (’kol’ and “kox” respectively in Swedish) to the royal court. Nowadays, it is Italian food and wine which is supplied. Kol & Kox promises both good business lunches in peace and quiet and romantic candle-lit dinners. The à la carte menu includes starters, fish, meat, pasta and desserts. Many of the ingredients are locally produced according to the restaurant’s demands for high quality and organic methods. The accompanying wine list is almost exclusively Italian. The list also includes a good selection of Grappa. Over the years, the restaurant has received a number of distinctions, including one from the Italian Academy of Cooking.
