The elegant Hotel Fährhaus in Sylt owes its growing popularity with guests to its top quality wines. In May 2003 it opened a Vinothek and smokers’ lounge on the first floor. In this idyllic spot which overlooks the boats bobbing about in the little marina, take time out with a good book, a glass of wine at just the right temperature and - if you are so inclined - a well stored cigar.

The Vinothek is arranged as a Friesian lounge with original ceramics and antique cheesewood antiques supplied by Mylin (List). A protective tinted glass wall separates the Vinothek from the air-conditioned red wine store which is above ground level.
