| Spanish Restaurant Located in los Austrias, the oldest part of Madrid and one of the most beautiful areas in the city, Los Arrieros can be found between the royal palace and the opera house, opposite the church of St Nicholas - the oldest church tower in the city. The establishment is divided into two separate restaurants - one occupies the former studio of the painter Don Gerardo Rueda, which still features part of his work and decoration, while the other more classical area, after which the restaurant is named, was formerly used by muleteers. Each one has its own entrance, as shown in the images. The photo on the left shows the entrance to the painter’s studio, where there are various dining rooms and visitors can enjoy the wide range of delicious dishes. Groups of all sizes are welcome. The entrance on the right goes into the more classical of the restaurants where there is a small bar as well as the dining rooms offering traditional home cooked food and a lunchtime set menu for 10.20 Euros. After 8pm the restaurant serves tapas in an informal and cosy setting.
