Built during the late 19th century by the Marquis of Bute, the Lochside House Hotel is a former shooting lodge situated on the outskirts of the East Ayrshire town of New Cumnock. The hotel’s handsome restaurant has a cosy, traditional feel, with views over the loch and the rolling Alton Hills outside and a roaring log fire within. Food is a blend of Scottish and international dishes, with special menus offering a taste of local produce, light bites and high tea.
