The Soleils du Monde (literally suns of the world) is the restaurant attached to the Mercure hotel in the famous business district of La Défense on the outskirts of Paris. It is a sober and modern establishment in keeping with its surroundings. The atmosphere is intimate with low lighting and subtle furnishings. The lounge bar next to the restaurant is great for pre or post dinner drinks. The menu tries to accommodate as many types of cuisine as possible with exotic fruit and vegetables and some spicy dishes.
