The Landgasthof Bären has always had a cosmopolitan outlook. The restaurant is a family-run Bern concern and prides itself on its hospitality. There is a statue of a bear sitting over the entrance and inside there are cosy rooms which are popular with regulars and visitors. The food is prepared by a father-and-son culinary duo. They take immense pride in the fact that food is prepared using only the freshest ingredients. The river trout, for example, is caught and cooked on the same day. The restaurant also serves quality wine. In the summer you can sit outside in the garden and enjoy the colourful bear garden décor. The staff are efficient and helpful.
