The Krillemühle is situated in a peaceful spot not far from Freital. The restaurant is part of the guest-house and comes up with some very unusual dishes: the Heidschnucke. This sheep probably comes from Sardinia and Corsica originally. The Heidschnucke now live on Lüneburg Heath and, since not so long ago, on Niederlausitzer Heath. The meat served at the Krillemühle comes from these animals. The spicy heather (Scotch heather, Calluna Vulgaris) gives the meat a unique taste. The meat therefore has a low fat content and is good quality. Heidschnucke is served in a variety of dishes. The Krillemühle also serves other traditional German dishes, from small snacks to roasts, and has a reasonably priced lunchtime menu from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm.
