The horses that pulled the mail coaches used to be changed here at the Gasthof zur Post back in the 14th century. Those days are now gone but the good food has lived on and still draws guests from near and far. Now into the 4th generation, the Suttner family has been running the hotel since 1908. They’ve done well, as the food at the Post has picked up numerous awards in that time. Food is traditional Bavarian as you might expect. House specialities include game dishes from the local provinces and fish from the Kochelsee. The Gasthof itself is a real gem, best enjoyed from the garden terrace. Private and corporate functions can also be held here, catering for up to 145 people.
