Gente Ristorante Italiano offers a touch of Milan to New York City on 45th Street. Jay B. Mitchell, owner and executive chef, serves up authentic, well-prepared Italian cuisine, directly influenced by his almost one hundred visits to Italy. The soups are made fresh every day, using all vegetarian ingredients. They serve paninis, pasta, pizza, and salads of organic origin, alongside seasonal dishes such as Roman-style baby artichokes and a long list of wines by the glass. Gente also has a fully licensed bar with a wide selection of alcohol. Gelato and sorbetto are flown in daily from Milan and the homemade biscotti are exceptional. There is an array of daily specials to please everyone’s taste buds and the unique space is perfect for private parties, client presentations, or product introductions.
