The Gate Vegetarian Restaurant offers a globally-inspired menu in a converted church in Hammersmith.

Adrian and Michael Daniel opened The Gate restaurant in Hammersmith, West London, in 1990. Since then, it has quickly become a first-choice destination for local vegetarians and diners of all tastes.

Previous winner of Time Out’s award for Best Vegetarian Meal, The Gate’s eclectic cuisine combines Indian and Arabic food with traditional Jewish cooking. Further enhanced by French and Italian culinary inspirations, the menu regularly changes to reflect the seasons. Speciality dishes include the Aubergine Teriyaki, Red Thai Curry and Risotto alla Contadina.

Special Food Fest events are held at The Gate restaurant throughout the years. These include the Wild Mushroom Fest in October - focusing on dishes prepared with rare mushrooms from the restaurant’s suppliers.

Most of the dishes are gluten-free or can be prepared gluten-free, as well as suitable for vegans. The friendly staff will be happy to offer recommendations or assist with dietary requests.
