El Tocororo offers a little slice of Cuba in the Letras district of central Madrid.

The Cuban cuisine uses first class ingredients and the menu offers typical Cuban dishes such as black kidney bean stew, cassava with creole sauce, fried plantains or “ropa vieja” (shredded beef in a tomato sauce). You can also choose one of the combination platters such as “sucu-sucu”, which includes “ropa vieja” with white rice, kidney beans and cassava - or any of its many salads.

In true Cuban style, there are also excellent cocktails, traditionally prepared, with excellent mojitos, Cuba libres and daiquiris, among many others. Tocororo bombards the senses with everything Cuban, from the photographs of Havana and other locations hanging on the walls, through to Cuban curios and of course the inimitable Cuban music.

On Friday and Saturday evenings there is live music, which is open to requests or even vocal contributions from the audience.
