Enjoy the Lake District National Park from the shores at Derwent Bank the country house with the best waterfront of any hotel on Derwent Water. The country house designated as non-smoking has 37 en-suite bedrooms equipped with a hairdryer clock radio and complimentary tea and coffee making facilities. Televisions and telephones are not provided in the bedrooms. Indoor facilities include a lounge bar games room and conservatory and outdoors guests can enjoy croquet and putting. Meals are served in an informal friendly atmosphere at tables for up to eight guests. A three-course dinner is served at 7.30pm for a charge of 18 GBP per person. If you would like to dine at the country house please contact the house before 6pm to make your dinner reservation. A choice of full English or continental breakfast is offered. To allow you to make the most of your touring or walking holiday a self-select picnic lunch can be provided for the small charge of 10 GBP per person. Free car parking is available. Please notify the country house in advance if you intend to arrive after 10.30pm. Bedrooms are available from 2.30pm on the day of arrival and should be vacated by 10.00am on the day of departure. With spectacular views of the fells including Skiddaw England’s fourth highest peak this country House is an excellent base for those on an activity or walking holiday. Keswick a popular market town is just three miles away and Wordsworth’s house and gardens are 13 miles away. This house has a 4-star Visit Britain rating.
