A Grade II-listed Georgian manor house with uninterrupted views of the rolling Mendip Hills, Backwell House is a hidden gem of a venue, packed with nooks, crannies and curiosities. Head Chef Josh Hutson creates an entirely ingredient-driven menu, sourcing from local farms and working with the kitchen gardener to let the produce speak for itself. The restaurant is in-keeping with the rest of the house, which also has a unique hand-crafted bar and welcoming drawing room with polished wooden boards, low level sofas and arm chairs.
