Indeed just as the early traders brought the wealth of the East back to Europe in terms of spices and herbs, the Verandah has brought acclaim to the City of Edinburgh with its Les Routiers ranking as the best Indian restaurant in the Britain.

With the service, value and cuisine to match any restaurant, Indian or European, the Verandah created a new wave in the provision of Indian food. The Verandah, have created a dining experience that has proved difficult to rival. Despite being awarded every major honour that a restaurant can receive, such as Scottish Good Food Guide “Best Indian Restaurant” Award, Egon Ronay, Good Curry Guide and the Good Value Guide, The Good Food Guide the Verandah remains reassuringly low key.
