We Say

Tamago is a Japanese Ramen bar offering, Ramen Noodle soups, Bento boxes and Curries. Oriental restaurants sometimes have a tendency to list a dizzying number of dishes; not so here, we found the menu to be just the right length. Some English explanation of dishes would have been helpful for those not familiar with Japanese food. All the dishes served were excellent and it was especially refreshing to see some Japanese desserts - although the Dorayaki seemed a little overpriced for something in a packet.

Staff were friendly and welcoming and they were very happy to shift tables around to accommodate our party of 6. The restaurant is nicely decorated, and although the place has a cosy feel we definitely found our legs receiving a cold draft from somewhere. Service during the meal was a little tardy but always friendly so we didn’t mind and we weren’t in a hurry.

Overall a very pleasant experience and we will certainly be returning again.
