The trendy restaurant Frida Kahlo which has cult status is situated in the middle of the Prenzlauer Berg district of Berlin and appeals to a mixed clientele. The outdoor area offers plenty of room to sit and a direct view of Helmholtzplatz. As the name suggests, the Mexican ambiente of the restaurant is reminiscent of the well-known paintress Frida Kahlo. Pictures and paintings adorn the walls. The blue façade with red window frames are reminiscent of the Casa Azul: the home, and now museum, of the Kahlo family in Mexico City. The restaurant serves Mexican food from morning to night, and exclusively Spanish wines. They have brunch on Sundays and public holidays which goes on into the late afternoon. The restaurant is handycapped accessible.
