Since 2007, Carl Michael has served rustic and seasonal food with a modern touch, inspired by classic Swedish cuisine using of course, high quality, seasonal ingredients. During the summer months there is also a bar where you can enjoy beer, wine and cocktails with smaller dishes. The menu at Carl Michael is dominated by Swedish dishes like black pudding, Wallenberger and herring. The food is still served in the same atmospheric building which has been enjoyed by several generations of diners. The interior is heavily influenced by the late 1700s, the time of Carl Michael Bellman, obviously the Carl Michael from whom the restaurant takes its name. The restaurant feels like a classic inn, but in the same way that the Swedish cuisine has been updated by Carl Michael’s chefs, the decor has also been seen the addition of some low-key modern details as well.
