| German Restaurant The Weihenstephan Brewery is reputedly the oldest brewery in the world, and in any case it is a cornerstone of Bavarian brewing. A slice of Bavarian lifestyle and dining culture comes to the German capital at Weihenstephaner am Hackeschen Markt. In a traditional vaulted cellar, waitresses in dirndl skirts serve hot and cold Bavarian delicacies, ranging from traditional pretzels and veal sausage to roast pork with crackling and dumplings. For small appetites, though hopefully not that small, there are impressive sandwich platters and a good selection of vegetarian options. Then of course there’s Weihenstephaner beer to drink, with a choice of six different speciality beers including specialities like light Maibock or strong Starkbier.
