Set in what was the Chang Thai restaurant, the Exhibition Rooms are very at home in London’s Crystal Palace. With its Raffles-inspired ground floor, a lower level that has the feel of an extravagant French boudoir and a surprise courtyard, this restaurant offers fantastic food in unique surroundings. The menu is as eclectic as the décor, serving dishes such as crab with papaya, mango and coriander, pumpkin, sage and ricotta ravioli, pork belly with a pear salad and duck with fondant spinach and cherry sauce. Desserts are equally delightful and include a passion fruit and mango trifle with home-made shortbread. Three courses cost an average of £30 per person.
