Part of a small family-run group of restaurants, The Cinnamon Tree is a modern Indian eatery with a cosy, homely atmosphere set in the Cardiff suburb of Pontcanna. An authentic, delicately spiced menu mixes old favourites with inventive ingredients such as ostrich steaks and diced venison, complemented by a well-chosen wine list. There’s a laid-back bar upstairs for after-dinner drinks.
