Appetito Italiano offers the traditional Italian atmosphere in fine surroundings on Markgrafenstrasse (near U-Bahn Stadtmitte). Illuminated by candlelight, guests can enjoy sumptuous meals from a constantly changing menu that is traditionally displayed on slate boards. Sardinian by birth, head chef Andrea Ollargiu is a devotee of old Italian recipes, breathing fresh life into long-forgotten dishes, and developing interesting creations such as entrecÔte in pepper sauce with a hint of thyme and pure olive oil. Pasta fiends should try the spaghetti with bacon and onions in a spicy tomato sauce.
